DSA-Alberta's goal is to provide disabled Albertans access to our programs regardless of their financial means.  We price our memberships and sailing fees at a low level to ensure we meet this goal.  Significant operating costs include purchase of specialized equipment, fleet maintenance, insurance and staff salaries. 

DSA-Alberta relies upon and is grateful for financial donations from corporations, foundations and the public.  During fiscal 2002, it is DSA-Alberta's goal to raise a mininum of $40,000 in Sponsorships for boats and equipment and $30,000 for Operating expenses.  Greater funding will allow DSA-Alberta to continue to improve its services to the community.

• Our Martin 16s and Sonar are eye-catching and attractive to the public and the news media.  Each season, DSA-Alberta programs and events are covered by CBC, CFCN, Calgary 7 and A-Channel as well as The Sun and Calgary Herald, making us increasingly well known in Calgary.

• Over 400,000 people visit Heritage Park annually. 100,000 Sail on the "SS Moyie" sternwheeler, enjoying the lake and observing close-up, the DSAA Martin 16's and Sonar in action.

• Every day, thousands of Calgarians enjoy walking and biking around Glenmore Park.  Sailing is part of their visual experience.  Our Sponsors logos are easily identified and recognized.
