For those who aspire to hone their competitive sailing skills, DSA Alberta provides the opportunity to compete in racing camps and regattas at the local, national and international level.

“In 2009 I became interested in the Sailing. Thanks to the support and charity of members in my community, along with other generous donors I have been able to attend training sessions in order to get myself Certified. I now enjoy the Sport on both a Recreational and Competitive level. For myself I find Sailing / Racing highly addictive, and extremely rewarding. This past winter I was invited to a couple Regattas and had the opportunity to meet with coaches and athletes who have been to the Olympics, giving me a HUGE amount of inspiration and motivation to pursue this sport to the highest levels I can. The (very encouraging) staff and volunteers at DSA-Alberta do an excellent job of assisting clients with any help they might need setting up the boat, and getting on their way from the dock. I am also very thankful for the sponsors who have enabled DSA-Alberta to purchase adaptive equipment, which I eagerly look forward to taking advantage of as often as I can.” Ryan Yeadon
