DSA Alberta Programs

Anyone can do it!

DSA-Alberta's Program Calendar is full of opportunities to learn about and enjoy the recreation and sport of sailing. In Calgary, we operate a permanent community sailing program on the Glenmore Reservoir, located at South Glenmore Park on 24th Street SW at 90 Avenue SW. Both beginners and experienced sailors of all ages may access our fleet of Martin 16 / Sonar sailboats and support services.

  • Our Community Partnership programs provide recreational opportunities for Agencies and

  • Organizations serving disabled children and adults.  These programs provide a fun and safe introduction to sailing at our Glenmore Reservoir location in Calgary.

  • Our Independent Sailing programs offer anyone that wants to learn to sail - from novice to expert - a low-cost way to develop their sailing skills and experience, for both recreation or competition.  For those that aspire to hone their competitive sailing skills, DSA Alberta provides opportunities to compete in sailing events and regattas at the local, national and international level.  Some of our Members aspire to represent Canada in the Paralympics.

  • Our CYA (Canadian Yachting Association) Learn-to-Sail classes provide theory instruction, technical skills training, social activity and confidence building in a safe, positive and cooperative learning environment.  Classes are offered at all levels and open to anyone (members, families, volunteers).

Now in our 10th year of operation, we have proven that ANYONE can enjoy our programs and services.  So, Get on Board! with DSA Alberta.
